Expression of Interest Family Day Out (ages 5-11 years)

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST NOW OPEN!
You’re invited to join us for a special day is designed to bring parents and children aged 5 to 11 together to build confidence, make new friends, and share experiences, all while having fun in a safe and supervised environment.
Family Day Out provides children the opportunity to:
- take part in exciting outdoor adventure activities
- build their confidence in managing diabetes
- practise diabetes self-management skills
- connect with other families living with type 1 diabetes
Throughout the day, groups will be supported by a dedicated team of diabetes health professionals, including a Diabetes Educator who will encourage conversations about diabetes management in a fun and friendly way.
Please note that this program is only suitable for children aged 5 to 11 living with type 1 diabetes (accompanied by one parent/carer). This event will be fully supervised by trained health professionals.

Cost: Free for children registered with the NDSS

Places are limited and are allocated through a selection process. Applications close on Sunday 23 November 2025.
