This group session is for people in remote and regional Northern Territory
If you have recently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, it’s normal to feel unsure or have lots of questions. This group session will provide you with practical information and support to help you manage your blood glucose levels and look after you and your baby’s health.
In this supportive 1-hour group session you will learn:
– what gestational diabetes is and how it develops
– why managing blood glucose levels is important
– monitoring and targets
– tips for healthy eating and physical activity during pregnancy
– where to find ongoing support and trusted information
You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and connect with others going through a similar experience.
The group is delivered by both a Diabetes Nurse Educator and an Accredited Practising Dietitian.
