EXPRESSION OF INTEREST NOW OPEN!
A Fun Day for Kids Living with Type 1 Diabetes
You’re invited to join us for a special day designed to bring families with children aged 9 to 11 living with type 1 diabetes together to build confidence, make new friends, and share experiences, all while having fun in a safe and supervised environment.
Junior Day Out provides children the opportunity to:
- take part in exciting outdoor adventure activities
- build their confidence in managing diabetes
- practise diabetes self-management skills
- connect with other children living with type 1 diabetes
Throughout the day, groups will be supported by a dedicated team of diabetes health professionals, including a Diabetes Educator who will encourage conversations about diabetes management in a fun and friendly way.

Where: Melbourne Zoo
Cost: Free!
Additional information:
Please note that this program requires your child/ren to be accompanied by a parent or carer. This event will be fully supervised by trained health professionals.
