Pregnancy and diabetes e-learning

This e-learning program for health professionals provides information on pregnancy planning and preparation for women with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.  

This 2-hour course has been endorsed by the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA), the Australian College of Midwives (ACM) and the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA). The course is accredited by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and GPs may self-report the CPD activity to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).  
 
This 2-hour course includes information about: 
  • Pregnancy care and diabetes 
  • Pre-conception counselling, including effective contraception use 
  • Pre-pregnancy care 
  • Case studies to support applying learning in practice
