Family Day Out Expression of Interest TAS

Type 1 diabetes, Children and teens
You’re invited to join us for an afternoon of fun for children aged between 5-11 years living with type 1 diabetes and their parent/carer.
Designed to bring children living with type 1 diabetes together, our Family Day Out aims to increase confidence of children and their parents/carers, and promote opportunities to learn and practice diabetes self-management skills together.
UNLEASH YOUR FREE SPIRIT! Join us at BOUNCE, for a fun day of jumping and games led by Diabetes Australia staff and facilitated by BOUNCE – a perfect way to meet new friends, decrease feelings of isolation and manage your diabetes in a safe environment with like-minded people.

Please note: Due to the nature of the educational components and venue capacity, this event is only suitable for children with type 1 diabetes and one parent/carer.

Date: Wednesday 24 April 2024
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: BOUNCE, 1 Linear Court, Derwent Park
Cost: Free for children registered with the NDSS
Included: Half day program including activities, lunch and snacks
Expression of interest process: Places are limited and are allocated through a selection process. Applications close on Sunday 31 March 2024.
