This webinar will enhance your knowledge on how to best support people living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes to plan and prepare for a healthy pregnancy. As a health professional, you play a key role in making a real difference in supporting people to self-manage their diabetes. Expanding your knowledge about diabetes management can help you have more impactful conversations with the people you see.
 
In this 60-minute webinar, we will explore:
1.     Pregnancy risks and outcomes for people living with diabetes
2.     The benefits of planning and preparing for pregnancy
3.     Preconception counselling and contraception 
4.     The key elements of pre-pregnancy care for people with diabetes
5.     The role of key health professionals in pregnancy planning and care
6.     Available pregnancy planning resources for people living with diabetes
 
There will also be time at the end of the webinar for questions.
 
This webinar is facilitated by ADEA and delivered by a Credentialled Diabetes Educator with significant experience in the area of diabetes and pregnancy.
