If you are registered with the NDSS you can access a range of free diabetes self-management education and support programs. NDSS events include short webinars, face-to-face workshops, and comprehensive education programs covering topics such as blood glucose monitoring, healthy eating, physical activity, emotional wellbeing, minimising your risk of health problems and much more.

What is diabetes self-management education and why is it important?

There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to managing diabetes. NDSS self-management education programs provides knowledge and skills to people living with diabetes in making decision about how to best manage your diabetes in a way that suits your lifestyle.
We have a range of events including short webinars, face-to-face workshops, and comprehensive education programs covering topics such as blood glucose monitoring, healthy eating and carbohydrates, physical activity, emotional wellbeing and support, how to minimise your risk of health problems and much more. We also offer a range of online events, including short webinars run by a credentialled diabetes educator (CDE), and 8-week exercise programs.
